Offer your design-forward, remote-work-ready stay to vetted remote professionals from around the world.
SUBMIT YOUR STAY FOR REVIEWSundowner curates a focused collection of stays that combine thoughtful design with real workability.Every property is reviewed for what actually matters to remote professionals: reliable connectivity, a proper workspace, calm surroundings, and an environment suitable for longer stays.
Sundowner is built for an underserved segment: remote professionals who can work from anywhere and care deeply about where they work from.
They are typically:
- solo or couple travelers
- respectful, low-impact guests
- staying 2–4 weeks or longer
- booking outside peak tourist season
Sundowner is a paid membership directory, not a mass marketplace.
This means:
- guests are intentional and serious
- fewer, higher-quality enquiries
- longer stays, especially in low season
Sundowner is not a booking platform.
You manage pricing, availability, and bookings directly:
- No commissions
- No race to the bottom.
- You can build a direct relationship with guests.
We introduce you — the rest is up to you.
It’s often simpler than you think. Many hosts are closer to being remote-ready than they realise.
Most improvements are:
- affordable
- easy to implement
- beneficial for all long-stay guests
At Sundowner, we focus on a small set of criteria that make the biggest difference.
Remote workers depend on stable connectivity for calls and daily work.
- Target: ≥100 Mbps download, ≥20 Mbps upload
- Verified speed tests are required to publish
- Backup internet (4G/5G router or hotspot) is appreciated, but not required
A proper workspace is one of the biggest factors for long stays.
- A desk and a comfortable chair (not a barstool or kitchen counter)
- Ideally near natural light
- At least two outlets near the desk.
Many hosts set this up for under €300 / £260, often using items they already have.
Optional but highly valued:
- External monitor (can be found under €100 / £90)
- Desk lamp
- Second, quieter work spot (e.g. table or balcony)
How a space feels matters as much as how it functions.
- Natural light during the day
- Warm, comfortable lighting in the evening
- A calm, uncluttered setup suitable for video calls
Remote workers stay longer — and value spaces they enjoy spending time in.
How do bookings work?
Sundowner is a paid membership directory. Members pay a yearly fee to access the collection. When they find a stay they like, they are redirected to your preferred booking page (ideally your own website) to complete the booking directly with you. Sundowner does not handle bookings or payments.
Do I need to have my own website?
Having your own website is recommended, but not required. A direct website allows you to receive commission-free bookings and maintain full control over pricing and availability. If you don’t have one yet, we can recommend trusted partners who help hosts set up simple, effective booking websites.
Do you offer any customer support?
We provide support for questions related to the Sundowner directory and listing visibility. We do not mediate disputes between hosts and guests or provide booking support. Since bookings happen directly with you, guest communication and issue resolution remain under your control.
How can I modify my listing?
Listings cannot be edited directly. If anything changes — availability, pricing, workspace setup, photos, or amenities — simply reach out and we’ll update your listing for you after review.
Is listing on Sundowner free?
Yes. Listing on Sundowner is free during the early phase. We focus on curating high-quality inventory first. If this changes in the future, existing hosts will be informed well in advance.
What happens if my stay is not accepted?
Not every stay is a fit — and that’s intentional. If your property doesn’t meet our current criteria, we’ll let you know why and, where possible, suggest improvements that could make it a better fit in the future.
How long does it take to review my submission?
We typically review submissions within 3 business days and will get back to you by email.
Can I be listed on other platforms as well?
Yes. Sundowner is designed to complement your existing distribution, not replace it. You’re free to list and accept bookings through any other platforms you use.
What information do you need to review my stay?
We’ll ask for:
- a link to your existing listing or website
- photos of the space (especially the workspace)
- basic details about Wi-Fi and setup (including a screenshot to verify the Wi-Fi speed)
